Hi my name is Elizabeth and I am an apparel designer with over 8 years of experience in New York City. Growing up with both parents in the retail industry ignited not only an understanding, but a desire to be a part of this ever-changing business. I saw an opportunity to take my creative talent and love of trend and apply that towards mass market. I pursued this passion and attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and received a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design.​After completing two successful internships at Diane VonFurstenberg and Kohl's, I accepted a job at Kohl's New York Design Office, ultimately becoming Global Denim Manager. After building my foundational design expertise on Dana Buchman I joined the Simply Vera Vera Wang brand as an Associate designer of woven tops, dresses, bottoms, denim, and jackets. During my time on this brand I saw a business opportunity to implement Plus sizes, which I developed and successfully launched. I then was promoted to lead designer of the Jennifer Lopez brand. As the lead designer I managed the Jennifer Lopez brand from concept to final product while partnering with Jennifer's personal stylist Rob Zangardi.Like any enterprising fashion designer you identify what area of design excites you and pushes you to learn more. For me it was denim development. I was first introduced to denim design when I was Associate designer on the Simply Vera Vera Wang team. I became engrossed in denim wash, dry process, trend and fit. Soon after I realized denim was my niche, which then led me to become Global Denim Manager for women's and men's exclusive brands at Kohl's.​As Global Denim Manager I oversaw the following brands: Elizabeth & James, Lauren Conrad, Simply Vera Vera Wang, Apartment 9 women's and men's, Marc Anthony, Sonoma, and Urban Pipeline. I developed denim assortments for these brands from concept to production. With a continued focus on denim trend and ensuring differentiation across brands, I traveled oversees to source sustainable fabrics, and consulted design and technical design teams on details and fit.​I welcome new opportunities and fresh challenges to help companies grow their brand through creative fashion design strategies, product concept and production.
