My role in UTS as Senior Advisor, Governance and Policy focuses on policy development, management, coordination and review as part of the University's wider governance activities. Relationship management is a large part of this role which involves building high-level networks across the University in order to achieve a clear and functional policy objective. I am responsible for guiding the University’s approach to, and development of, academic and business policy and for the operation of the University’s Governance Review Framework, and the Governance Activities Framework. My previous role in UTS was as Senior Governance Support Officer within the Policy & Secretariat team which involved the management of Academic Board committees, Council committees and the management of the Governance Activities Framework for the University. My KPMG Board and National Executive secretariat role involved coordination and management of the National Board and Executive Committee (as well as sub-committees) for the Firm and a review of the existing governance channels with a view to enhancing procedures, embedding an effective governance framework and a clear committee cycle. Previous professional experience includes the management of academic boards, committees, working groups and projects for University College Dublin.
