Seven years ICU nursing experience in the following departments; trauma, cardio-thoracic, lung transplant, medical, surgical and neuro ICU. Nursing experience in a level 1 trauma hospital and highly specialized neurological & transplant institute. One year with Vascular Access Team - PICC lines (peripherally inserted central lines), midlines and difficult peripheral line placement using ultrasound guidance. ECG technology used concurrently for PICC placement verification. ICU duties include;ICP and extra-ventricular drain management. Assisting physicians with insertion of extra-ventricular drain at the bedside. Care and management of the critically ill and neurologically compromised/injured patient; cerebral and spinal sub-arachnoid hemorrhage, embolic strokes, complex neurological syndromes, cerebral and spinal lesions and tumors.Management of arterial lines, vasoactive drips, sedation infusions, administration of conscious sedation for bedside procedures, complex wound care and dressing changes, traction, assisting with intubation and ventilator management.
