I studied as a Music Theatre student at Carthage college and earned a Bachelors of Arts in 2018 before moving from Illinois to Florida to pursue my goals and work for the Walt Disney Company stating in their college program. In the past, I've worked in many unique and challenging roles. Before Disney, I worked in the scene shop at Carthage College learning how to put together elaborate theatre stage shows and set up lighting and sound for performances. Simultaneously, I worked at Medieval Times in the Sound and Lighting Department. There, I had the opportunity to learn how to work the lighting and sound equipment and work with guests and our performers interactions during a live show. At Disney, I began in the college program as a parking attendant in 2018. I moved my way up to a full time position working at EPCOT in 2019 as a part of the food and beverage team for festivals. In this role, I wore many different hats including trainer and stocker for the kiosks which held some personal responsibility and allowed me to learn more about the company. Within this last year, I left the festival team and became a safari guide at Animal Kingdom at Kilimanjaro Safaris. Here I work closer with our guests and our wild African animals and educate about the animals and conservation. In one twenty minute show, I drive a safari truck around an animal reserve around live animals, while spieling facts about the animals we are crossing paths with, watching and ensuring the safety of my guests, communicating with my team and making sure that the show runs smoothly. Disney has certainly been my most recent challenge, but I am taking on more going back to school at Valencia College to pursue an Associates in Sound Production to learn more about the voiceover industry and how to pursue my personal goal as an actor.
