Elizabeth Schultz is a third-year transfer student with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Kirkwood Community College. At the University of Iowa, she studies Journalism and Mass Communication and is aiming to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree and a minor in Communication Studies. Additionally, Elizabeth works part-time for the Daily Iowan TV as a reporter, and is also a part-time sales associate at Von Maur. Her involvement at Kirkwood included a position as Managing Editor with the Communiqué student Newspaper as well as roles in Kirkwood’s band program. Elizabeth also served as News Editor, Opinion Editor, and Creative Director of the Communiqué (Eagle Voice). Additional experience includes producing multimedia newscasts with Kirkwood Student Productions (KSP) and part-time journalism roles. She held a news reporting internship position with the Corridor Business Journal and a news internship with 88.3 Jazz station, KCCK. She plans to continue her passions through news internships while at Iowa to improve her journalism skills. Upon graduating from the University of Iowa, Elizabeth would like to work as a multimedia journalist/reporter at a news station in Iowa.
