I am a fifth generation Californian and have lived in four states throughout my life. The farthest was from Idaho to South Carolina. I moved thirteen times with my family, which developed my skill to quickly adapt to new situations. My parents called us an "anchor family", as we would quickly befriend neighbors and those in our community. We frequently participated in service activities and supported those around us. I once painted fences and helped with tornado cleanup.I strive to be an anchor for others. Reliable and trustworthy, so that others around me can be better as well. My first job was at the Chick-fil-A of Clemson, South Carolina. There, quality work is valued above speed. It is more effective to do something correctly than it is to incorrectly speed through it. Even today, I'll say "sir", "ma'am", and "my pleasure", though I focus more on strong connections with my peers. My mother always emphasized the importance of education and proved her word by graduating from a tech college at the age of 54. This level of patience is what I strive for now. I am getting a degree in Business Finance with a Minor in Data Analytics. I started my degree in 2020, which means for me that it is better to take time to learn in college rather than graduate without any experience in my field. The majority of my jobs have been a balance between food service, customer service, and mentoring. My job has a motto: to "enhance lives". I am trying to follow that motto myself by uplifting others, being patient, and paying attention to the little things.
