My primary roles is to serve as a Biostatistician for the Department of Preventive Medicine. I am experienced with helping investigators with NIH and foundation grant submissions. I help to summarize preliminary studies for the grants, assist investigators with trial design, perform power calculations, and develop statistical analysis and data safety monitoring plans . I conduct statistical analyses for publications and presentations of behavioral clinical trials, epidemiology studies, and EMR data. I have years of experience with cross sectional, longitudinal and time to event analyses. I am a strong SAS programmer. I am skilled at using macros and arrays to manipulate data SAS. In 2017 I also began working with Rush's Center for Community Health Equity to evaluate population health programs at Rush. I was the administrative head of the Data Management Center (DMC) for the Department of Preventive Medicine July2008 -Jan 2020. The DMC is comprised of biostatisticians, data coordinators, computer programmers, and research assistants. We manage and analyses the data for the behavioral clinical trials. Change in duties came with departmental restructuring.

Use SAS and Access to create, maintain, and clean study datasets. Under the guidance of PhD statisticians, analyzing the data from cohort studies, longitudinal studies, and randomized trials. Survival, Longitudinal, categorical, regression analyses are implemented in SAS and results summarized. Work with investigators on data collection and monitoring issues. Ensuring study protocols, as to data collection, are being followed. Creating simple and complex reports and graphs using a combination of SAS, Access, Word, and/or Excel, depending on the information being summarized and final required format.

Maintaining and cleaning research data for multiple medical studies. Creating databases in Access to enter study data, provide quality assurance tools, and report and data set generation of study data.Using SAS to create simple and complex data sets, basic statistical analysis, and data cleaning. Creating and maintaining data dictionaries for each study. Designing and updating case report forms as needed. Ensuring study protocols, as to data collection, are being followed. Creating simple and complex reports and graphs using a combination of SAS, Access, Word, and/or Excel Depending on the information being summarized and final required format. Laying out the design for Conference posters for faculty members as requested.

Maintain and update databases for the department using Access and SQL. Enter information into tables using Access and Blaise. Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedure for data management. Prepare and design database queries and generate reports as requested. Create and run quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the data. Manage laptops used by research coordinators and create backups of the information those laptops hold. Design and program case report forms as needed.
