The work is across five sites and I act as focal point for Intellectual Property across all the directorates of the organisation. I am responsible for the Management of the IP portfolio, IP policy and strategy for the research council, along with processes and standardisation of contracts to support the IP strategy and policy and to continually evaluate and monitor the IP portfolio against the commercial and stakeholder requirements. I provide guidance to the organisation on all IP matters including IP in contracts and international treaties, patenting and infringement analysis, opportunity analysis and potential threats, continually using expertise in resolving complex IP-related issues across multiple jurisdictions. Part of my role is working with our high growth companies campus companies through our incubation and licensing activities, advising them on IP strategy and regional, national and international schemes networks and frameworks that support high growth high tech companies.
