I teach across undergraduate and graduate programs while supporting the research enterprise. My clinical focus is aeromedical transport and adult critical care with a special interest in the physiological responses of critically ill and injured adults to the presence of family during transport and at the bedside.

Develop and present interdisciplinary continuing education programs using a multimedia approach. Other services include authoring and editing monographs and scientific papers for publication covering a wide range of medical-surgical topics including but not limitied to dementia care, aeromedical and emergency transport, diabetes, critical care, and the use of high fidelity simulation in medical education.

Responsible for teaching in the graduate and undergraduate programs. Clinical focus is adult critical care and aeromedical transport. Currently developing teaching strategies that employ multi-media approaches.

Provided instruction in the bachelors, masters, and clinical doctorate programs with an emphasis on adult acute and critical care.

Designed and delivered interprofessional education programs that focused on clinical and leadership/management skill development.

Provided advanced life support during helicopter and fixed wing transport of critically ill and injured patients across the lifespan including high risk obstetric and neonatal transfer, trauma and scene response, and intrerfacility transfer from adult and pediatric intensive care.
