For the past 19 years I have worked within the visual arts as an artist, a fine art lecturer, a curator and gallery director and an art mentor. My wealth of experience has honed my lateral thinking skills allowing me to perceive what may not be obvious to others. Natural mentoring characterised by intuition and empathy is my forte. I aim to provide you with a safe space to think, talk and reframe the challenges you have encountered in your art practice. Above all, my goal is for my mentees to feel empowered, listened to, and affirmed. This mentoring initiative is built upon a three-pronged strategy that integrates my academic, practical, and professional expertises. These diverse skill sets place me in a unique position to run a supportive, nurturing mentoring program tailored to provide you with the supportive framework and the guidance you are seeking for developing your art practice. The Foundry Gallery of which I am the director and curator (est. 2010) is a nomadic contemporary art gallery based in London that explores the relationships between art and architecture. Established as part of Le Lay Architects, the gallery forms the foundation of the practice’s research into how architectural ideas are conceived and engaged with.
