Elizabeth "Liz" Hart is the Founder & Executive Director of Tailored For Success, Inc. Since 2000, Liz has been focusing her work on empowering economically disadvantaged women and girls in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, nationally and internationally. Tailored For Success, Inc., is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization dedicated to assisting low-income women as they attempt to enter the workforce, In 2007, Liz led the successful opening of a social enterprise project called "Tailored Impressions, A Resale Boutique" that was started for three distinct reasons: to provide Tailored For Success with unrestricted operating revenue, to provide clients of Tailored For Success with a real life job training site to increase their marketability and to help the community in which it is located by providing high quality, low cost clothing to residents. Through her work at Tailored For Success, Liz has developed an extensive expertise in community development, workforce development, nonprofit management, fundraising, grant writing, and is a sought after speaker on these and other related topics. A highlight of Liz' career is her current appointment to the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. Nominated by Senator Richard Tisei and appointed by Senate President Therese Murray (the first women to hold this position in Massachusetts), Liz and her sister Commissioners travel the Commonwealth to listen, advocate and work with legislators to advance the causes affecting women an girls. Liz is currently Vice Chair of the Commission and serves as Co-Chair of the Legislative & Public Policy Committee. Liz' proudest achievement during her tenure on the Commission is the revitalization of the Commission's Speaker's Bureau which led to increased visibility for the Commission.
