About Elizabeth Klimek
I am the Planetarium Manager of the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium at the South Carolina State Museum. This is a digital dome theater which opened August 16, 2014 as part of the Windows to New Worlds Project.I am also finishing my PhD in Astronomy at New Mexico State University. The focus of my graduate work has been in using computer simulations to study the formation and evolution of galaxies at high redshift, when the Universe was only a few billion years old. While I enjoy research, my primary passion is sharing my love of science and astronomy with people of all ages, most especially in a planetarium setting. Through teaching and outreach, I hope to communicate the value of science to the public and to inspire others to engage in life-long learning.
Listed skills include Astronomy, Science, Physics, Science Education, and 17 others.
