With over five years of experience in the higher education sector, I am a passionate and skilled career counselor who specializes in graduate career development. I hold a CCSP, SII, and MBTI certification, and I have a master's degree in educational leadership. I currently work at Marquette University, where I provide individualized career counseling to STEM, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Health Professions masters and doctoral students. I am motivated by helping students discover their strengths, interests, and goals, and guiding them to achieve their career aspirations. I enjoy collaborating with staff, faculty, and employers to design and facilitate engaging and relevant career events, workshops, and programming. My mission is to support graduate students in achieving their career goals and aspirations, whether they are pursuing academic or non-academic paths.In my current role as a Graduate Career Counselor at Marquette University, I leverage my knowledge of career counseling topics, counseling skills, and the graduate labor market to assist students with their career exploration, preparation, and transition. I also use my certification in the MBTI and Strong Interest Inventory to administer and interpret these assessments and help students identify their personality type, interests, and career options. Some of the skills I apply in my daily work include reflective listening, research, mindfulness, communication, and planning. I am proud of the positive feedback that I receive from students, colleagues, and employers, and the impact that I make on the graduate student community.
