Cooperative for Education (CoEd) is a nonprofit based in both Cincinnati and Guatemala City that works to break the cycle of poverty in Guatemala through education. Its sustainable model supports a Textbook Program, Computer Program, Culture of Reading Program, and Rise Youth Development Program. As a Development Coordinator, I -coordinated Fall Fiesta, CoEd’s largest annual event, including securing eventsponsorships and auction items, leading the 10-member silent auction committee, andplanning the fund-a-need portion of the event to net over $100,000-organized a Supporter Appreciation event regularly attended by 40 donors-served as liaison to CoEd's Board of Directors by creating reminder emails, agendas, presentations, and minutes for five meetings each year and coordinating 10-40 new donor calls with the Board of Directors each month-assisted CoEd's Advisory Board and Development Committee-served as volunteer coordinator and coordinated 60 regular volunteers-created and implement communication plans for 96 major and mid-level donors withquarterly communication goals in order to raise over $225,000-ran a two-year planned giving campaign to bring in seven new planned giving pledgeseach year-managed CoEd’s Facebook and Instagram accounts with 3,900 followers and posted daily

As a Development Associate, I -coordinated and led a 10-member silent auction committee for two annual Fall Fiestas —raised $30,000 at the events from the silent auction which goes to funding educationalprograms in Guatemala-organized and spoke at four local Rotary International or school presentations each year-put together a donor trip to Seattle for CoEd’s Director of Partner Development thatincluded 10 donor meetings-assisted four boards as they worked to attract and retain donors -created and implemented communication plans for 50 major and mid-level donors—raised $163,000 in 2017-coordinated 45 regular volunteers-managed CoEd’s Facebook and Instagram accounts

As a member of the council, I worked to coordinate change and improvement in Kentucky’s postsecondary education system. In particular, I served on the Committee on Equal Opportunities and Tuition Development Workgroup committee.

As a Community Engagement Manager for the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, my focus was volunteer management with the ultimate goal of increasing Girl Scout retention. I oversaw service unit teams and troop leaders in four service units in Indiana and Western Ohio while also fostering community partnerships. As a Community Engagement Manager, I-guided five-member volunteer teams in four service units in Western Ohio and Indianathrough their yearly strategic planning and Girl Scout event coordination-answered approximately 30 phone calls and 70 emails weekly from 150 troop leadersrelating to conflict resolution situations and questions about Girl Scout policies-promoted renewal of girl and adult members by holding monthly community officehours in four communities to directly guide troops through the renewal process-led 10 eight-week, in-school Girl Scout experiences for girls who lived in communitiesthat could not support a full Girl Scout troop

Northern Kentucky University

As an assistant in the Office of Government and Community Relations, I tracked legislation relating to higher education, P-12 education, and the Northern Kentucky community. I also-recruited for and oversaw NKU’s Future Leaders Internship Program of 12 interns-wrote a successful grant for the Future Leaders Internship Program-planned three events for the Community Ambassadors and one event withpresentations to the Seasongood Board for Good Government on what NKU’s internsexperienced in Frankfort-represented NKU at the January Northern Kentucky Education forum -represented NKU at the December Chamber of Commerce event with Governor Beshear -lead the Community Ambassadors, a student organization of 25 members dedicated to increasing university involvement in the community in areas relating to government and business-led an initiative on behalf of the Community Ambassadors to encourage NKU students to call their legislators regarding funding higher education-this involved contacting heads of numerous campus organizations, engaging with students in the Student Union, and writing a resolution for the Student Government Association

As an intern, I also responded to 40 constituent calls and emails daily and informed the constituents of Representative Santoro's opinions regarding certain bills and how he planned to vote.

Vision 2015 is a backbone organization dedicated to executing a 10-year strategic plan for Northern Kentucky. In my time at Vision 2015, I worked on a variety of initiatives and projects. These include:-The Licking River Greenway and Trails: Creating press releases and monthly newsletters for The Licking River Greenway and Trails and assisting in updating the website -The Story Project: Creating monthly newsletters for The Story Project, a project focused on the development of a master narrative for the Greater Cincinnati Region, and creating a Pinterest board for each of the five themes of The Story Project to be linked to from the project's website-Vision 2015 Annual Report: Drafting a press release and a column which was published by news.cincinnati.com for the release of the annual report -Vision 2015 Young Visionary Award: Writing a speech to be given when announcing the Young Visionary Award at the Next Generation Leader Awards and drafting a press release on the award recipient-General Organization Communication: Assisting with grant writing, updating the Vision 2015 and Northern Kentucky Education Council websites, and maintaining Facebook and Twitter pages for Vision 2015-Focus Groups: Attending and assisting with focus groups on the future of Vision 2015

As a Spanish tutor, I tutor students in introductory and intermediate Spanish courses.

As a camp counselor, I created and implemented weekly lesson plans for a group of seventeen children. I learned to be creative and planned activities varying from making pine cone bird feeders to forming countless varieties of the game tag. I also maintained regular phone and face-to-face communication with parents.
