As an assistant in the Office of Government and Community Relations, I tracked legislation relating to higher education, P-12 education, and the Northern Kentucky community. I also-recruited for and oversaw NKU’s Future Leaders Internship Program of 12 interns-wrote a successful grant for the Future Leaders Internship Program-planned three events for the Community Ambassadors and one event withpresentations to the Seasongood Board for Good Government on what NKU’s internsexperienced in Frankfort-represented NKU at the January Northern Kentucky Education forum -represented NKU at the December Chamber of Commerce event with Governor Beshear -lead the Community Ambassadors, a student organization of 25 members dedicated to increasing university involvement in the community in areas relating to government and business-led an initiative on behalf of the Community Ambassadors to encourage NKU students to call their legislators regarding funding higher education-this involved contacting heads of numerous campus organizations, engaging with students in the Student Union, and writing a resolution for the Student Government Association
