JD is the largest online Marine, Boatbuilding & Woodworking distribution company in North America.2010-2012 Purchasing Agent, Vendor Compliance, Pricing and Inventory Management. During my first 2 years at JD I was responsible for negotiating annual purchasing and co-op advertising contracts with our top 50 Brands. I also managed all nonstock and clearance inventory. Over the course of my first 15months, I reduced our non-stock obsolete inventory on-hand by $450,000 by maintaining 2 specific routine inventory reports daily: Report 1) a “Non-Stock In-Stock” report identified all skus on Open PO that are no longer on open customer sales orders. This report facilitated timely manufacturer returns on any sku coming into our inventory that is no longer needed within the acceptable window of time we could return to manufacture without penalty; and Report 2) a “Clearance Price-Line” report identifying all discontinued/obsolete inventory on hand. I’d price this discontinued/obsolete inventory down until we sold out completely, and marked for deletion. This report allowed me to turn old inventory back into cash that would have otherwise never sold.2012-2017 Product Development Managerlead Jamestown’s internal team tasked with launching our first ever exclusive private label brand of marine products. I brought “TotalBoat, by Jamestown Distributors” to market growing our product portfolio from 12 families our first year ($75k annual revenue), to over 50 product families in 3 years (2015 $5M annual revenue). I oversaw complete product development lifecycle from product selection, pricing, sourcing, testing, packaging, training, and go-to-market sell & spec materials ensuring all new products launched on schedule.
