Two years of entrepreneurship has taught me many things which I can use in any consultancy

Building from the ground up a derelict restaurant, and made it a success within two years, by improving the menu, the food, the service, and the hospitality. Was groundbreaking in organizing new events, live music, and other amazing experiences.

Founded in May 2012 the group now has 52 members and is still growing. One of our goals is to promote the use of Drupal within the Rome based UN agencies. We like to exchange ideas and experiences regarding the use of Drupal, and also exchange best practices. We were part of a presentation of Acquia about Drupal in FAO to be used as corporate or intranet csm.

Main tasks:• Assessment, revision and re-design of the conceptual design of a Publishing Planning Tool to ensure optimal usability of front-end and back-end interfaces, and reporting functions;• Overseeing the IT development team in Bangkok;• Collaboration with key interlocutors to ensure optimal linkages with other (non) publishing related systems in FAO and make it part of a clear workflow;• Preparation and implementation of a marketing/communication plan to ensure stakeholder buy-in, and support the roll-out of the tool;• Implementation and testing with stakeholders from across FAO through user-panels;• Organization of the go-live and roll-out process, preparation and participation in training and information sessions;• Preparation of (online) user and training manuals;• Monitoring and resolving of problems;• Preparation and delivery of several interim project reports.• Main achievements: finalization of version 1, start of pilot phase in July 2013. Designed a communication strategy for the Food Security Monitoring Systems unit, and designed a new Information System according to the "Elevator Shaft Principle".

• For three days a week, from June until December 2005, worked for WFP’s Regional Bureau for Asia in Bangkok Thailand, while being based in Rome. Wrote the strategic marketing plan for the Asian Fund Raising Team, identifying priority business areas as well as businesses, and outlining the (communications-) strategy; also visited several companies in India and Thailand to discuss partnerships.

Investigated successful cooperations between FAO and Private Sector, and designed generic business models to be used in future cooperations.
