Working within dust’s research-focused approach, I designed a new brand for famous Sheffield pub and brewery The Sheffield Tap. This included taking on detailed historical, contextual and visual research to inform my decisions and create innovative work which could sit beautifully within the historic restored building. I also further developed my copywriting and brand strategy skills whilst working with Benchmark, a global sustainability company in need of a new approach for talking to clients.

I entirely manage all visual communications for the Leeds based charity organisation, creating effective and exciting design across many different formats to engage as many people as possible in charity opportunities. I recently undertook a full rebrand of the organisation, introducing more innovative designapproaches to the charities we support and overhauling the way we communicate with people.

During my time at Magpie, I improved my knowledge of the processes of design from digital conception to physical installation by producing signage for Bagel Nash stores and installing the signs across different locations. I also got hands-on experience creating and painting decor and props for new store openings across the country. I additionally helped bring brands, including Leeds Varsity, from print to social media, creating content which could adapt to several outputs.

I also worked closely with the digital team to help develop wireframes and web proposals for Thompson’s internal brand which improved my understanding of how to design flexibly for web – skills I wish to further develop over the next few years.
