Hi, I’m Ellen. I help those on a spiritual journey to apply the basics of yoga, meditation, and writing to create more resilience, transformation, and vitality in their lives. I’ve been teaching yoga since 2004, and my life has changed a lot since then. On my journey I’ve learned that sometimes we outgrow certain practices, and that leaves us feeling restless and unfulfilled. I’ve learned how yoga asana can be crucial to healing the body and building strength and flexibility. I’ve learned that it’s easy to lose yourself in the role of being a mom, and lose track of yourself. I’ve discovered how to quiet down and listen to my inner voice, my soul, that part of me that is divine. I’ve longed to express myself, and write my own story, and share it with others. I can help you. I transformed through combining my practice of yoga, meditation, and writing. You can, too.Other bona fides: I have an MA in English composition from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have taught yoga (gentle, vinyasa, hatha, yin, meditation) since 2004. I have written a blog, With Heart and Humor, since 2016. I have led workshops on yoga and writing and the Art of Journaling. I was a stay-at-home mom for many years, and when I worked in the real world, I taught freshman composition, business communication, and English.
