I worked as an assistant with the doctoral program for biology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. My duties were primarily centered around organization of documents, events, seminars, and lectures for the doctoral program. I was also responsible for upkeep of the program's website.

As an undergraduate I worked as a research assistant in the Santangelo Lab and Reeve Lab, working with archaea species Thermococcus kodakarensis. I gained experience in basic lab skills (for example, PCR, SDS-PAGE gel preparation, Northern, Southern, Western blots) and applied those skills to a project aiming to develop a reporter gene system based on endogenous DNA repair enzyme MGMT. Through my experience at the Reeve Lab I completed my undergraduate thesis and graduated with Research Distinction.
