“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” Vincent Van GoghWhether it’s working on someone’s executive brand or identifying the best way to position their accomplishments on a resume, it’s important for people to see that all the small details add up to one big picture. Job searching and quite frankly life in general, is like a puzzle. You have all these tiny pieces that you are trying to fit together and when they finally do - you have a beautiful picture that you created. You might start building your puzzle by trying to find the outer layer or you dive straight into the middle. Sooner or later, piece by piece, you’ve created what you see on the box. It doesn’t mean it’s easy, but with time, you will accomplish it. Job transitions are never simple – whether it’s by choice or not. We naturally tie our identity to our job title and without it, we feel lost. My goal is to help people see beyond their job title. My goal is to help individuals realize that they have accomplished amazing things and regardless of whether they have a job at this very moment or not – they can and will do amazing things! I want to help bring to light all the tiny puzzle pieces that they might have lost at some point. Sometimes it was hidden under the box or fell under the table. Other times that very last piece is right in front of us all along. We all want to do more, but sometimes we don’t know how and I want to help people get there. I thrive in empowering people to really see themselves for all that they have accomplished and all that they can continue to do. While this can certainly come in the form of branding documents, interview preparation, and job searching tactics, my ultimate goal is for people to see themselves in a way that they never have before. To me, the intersection of Pilates and coaching is brought to life through the small details. We make one small change in an exercise and all the sudden - it’s completely different. Your body and mind respond positively and you’ve discovered a connection you never knew you had. It’s fascinating to me how one small change can make all the difference in your personal practice. This is how life is – one small mindset shift or one small positive experience can shape our life in a different way. We can feel better, move better, think better and ultimately grow more. We all desire to grow, we just don’t always know where to start. The key is just starting small. Each step we take – whether small or big - we grow and that’s where the magic happens. Now it is time to take your next step!

Executive Coach & Resume WriterE. Sears Careers, Llc Nov 2011 - PresentGreater Atlanta AreaResumes are have definitely transitioned into sales documents over the years. Instead of just writing down job duties, job seekers must sell themselves and all that they have accomplished. If I am selling a product to a young family or to a recent college graduate, the product will remain the same, but the story will slightly change depending on the person buying it. The same is true for resumes. When you are crafting your story for an employer within technology, it might be different than the story for an employer in consumer goods. Your story can and will change based on your audience. You, the product, has not changed, but how you position yourself does. As job seekers navigate through writing resumes and the increase in competition, it’s important to really highlight how they are a fit for each role. I love helping job seekers to tell their story and show employers how they are exactly what the company needs to be successful. -
