I led and collaborated cross-functionally with teams to develop and commercialize multi-cancer detection tests. I designed, executed, and communicated findings from research studies using clinical and real-world evidence in rigorous and innovative ways to support the scientific foundation and value proposition of multi-cancer detection tests. I leveraged my public health perspective, as well as my expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, cancer biology, and scientific writing and communication, to develop strategic research initiatives and harness clinical and population health data toward the mission of improving patients’ lives by detecting cancer earlier, when it can be cured.

I used real-world evidence creatively and rigorously to address clients’ urgent and high-stakes health-related concerns including product development and safety, regulatory compliance, occupational and environmental health effects, and litigation. I provided expert technical consultation on a broad array of scientific, medical, and engineering topics, including interventional and observational study design and interpretation, drug and medical device safety and effectiveness, standards of care, disease frequencies and distributions, causal inference, consumer product safety, and systematic literature review methods. I effectively communicated results to clients through project deliverables including written and oral reports, peer-reviewed scientific publications, expert witness testimony, public speaking engagements, and advisory board presentations.

I conducted research using population-based prescription and disease registries, electronic health records, and population surveys, among other data sources.

I led and collaborated on community-based research and educational initiatives to foster awareness, prevention, and screening for chronic hepatitis B and liver cancer among Asians and Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders.
