IT ALL STARTED WHEN I was a flower girl for my sister's wedding at the tender age of 5. I wore a peach-colored dress fashioned out of tulle, complete with a white furry pin clipped to my hair. The cherry-colored lipstick my mother put on for me; tasted like sweetened butter; an unmistakable scent only lipstick from the 90s can realize. As I waited at the entrance of the wedding ballroom, I heard the sound of applause from the inside. Apparently, it was triggered by the wedding celebrant's opening speech. While I didn't understand what he said, I was caught up in the thrill after all. The entrance of the ballroom door opened, and the melodious sounds of the traditional Mendelssohn's Wedding March began. I took my first step down the aisle and happily threw out a handful of the rose petals from my basket. But as quickly as it started, my job as a flower girl had ended and attention was then turned to the bride for the rest of the night. That moment remained with me until today. I had one main in my mind; How was everything put together to create something that we call now a Wedding?Those curiosities led me to who I am today. My current focus is less on the luxurious and up-to-date venue, but rather on understanding a couple of usual unusual requests and offering valuable consultation. The way I see it, the best wedding coordination resembles having a close and trustworthy family member to handle everything for the couple. With 13 years (and counting) of experience as a specialist, I aim to be results-driven on guest recognition. As it goes, my journey has been further refined during my time with Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur & Langkawi (Malaysia). The high standards set by the company has pushed me to self-improve to ensure the successful arrangement of any wedding or social event; whether it is creating a 7–10-page lengthy BEO to ensure the event runs like clockwork, or in terms of giving the best yield, profitability and volume in my sales conversions. Beyond work, I'm very much into coffee sessions, where I love conversations about different countries, cultures, and languages. For self-enrichment, I tend to work on expanding my English vocabulary daily.
