I am an English BA First Class Honours graduate and aspiring book editor with a combined two years of experience in journalism and copywriting - and a lifetime's worth of experience in proofreading, essay writing and creative writing. I have helped various companies by researching, writing, proofreading and editing promotional and creative content.Some examples include:- My work as a freelance copywriter, which involves writing blog post articles, landing pages and other content for websites and blogs, improving their viewership and audience retention. This involves communication and collaboration with the Managing Editor to ensure the client's expectations are fulfilled and to ensure that any new processes that have been implemented are working smoothly. I contributed nine articles, drawing in readers in various ways- from video articles to competition promotions. Finally, there was an emphasis on structure and planning, as following the 'inverted triangle' structure for each article was essential.Additionally, I have an abundance of experience in academic research, having written a 13,000-word dissertation in my final year of university, composed with the help of extensive research from 65 sources (20 primary and 45 secondary sources). The dissertation also involved regular edits of my work for cohesion and to go into further detail on previous points.Furthermore, I have demonstrated exceptional creative writing skills, achieving 82 in my final-year module ENG3097: Special Topic In Creative Writing, the second-highest mark in the class and higher than the class average by 17%. I get excited about opportunities to edit written pieces and make a piece of writing the best it can be, as well as to work with a team and manage large projects through collaboration.Regarding my interests, I'm a massive music fan - I'm at a Grade 2 level of guitar, teaching myself independently.
