My name is Ellie Meyer and I am a senior at TCU majoring in Strategic Communications with a minor emphasis in Spanish. My interest in communications has blossomed at TCU through my various public relations, advertising and design classes. I have a strategic mindset and possess strong communication skills, both in written and verbal forms, that enable me to craft compelling messages, press releases, and various other materials. I am a very personable person, which makes me proficient at networking and fostering positive relationships with others, a quality I believe will be essential in building partnerships and media connections when representing clients. Following through with active roles such as the vice president of membership in the Public Relations Student Society of America and being the communications chair for the One Love Club, have added to increase my acknowledgment of how truly accurate, effective, and compelling “communications” is in “communicating” a message. Looking forward, I have a strong interest in pursuing a career in public relations next summer as well as post-graduation.
