Current
Administrative Receptionist
During this short notice holiday cover period as client receptionist, I was employed at Zero Waste Scotland in Stirling to cover for the company receptionist in various administrative duties.Whilst carrying out this role, I was notably very adept in settling in very quickly to efficiently carry out various tasks required on a daily basis of operating as the company receptionist and representative, therefore proving my firm ability to carry out any given task successfully thereby proving my capabilities and aptitude. My daily duties entailed, answering all company calls and directing onto the correct recipients efficiently; warmly and confidently greeting external visitors and business clients for meetings with corporate and management teams.Overseeing and assisting with regular business meetings’ event management and associated clients visits thus ensuring fluidity of business interaction. I was also responsible for distributing internal and external mail and arranging of client and company transport bookings.
Administrative Assistant
My time spent at Keepmoat was a great learning opportunity as unlike my previous jobs I was dealing with and organising numerous projects covering cavity and external wall insulation throughout Scotland for an annual turnaround of approximately thirty five thousand properties. From this I was able to enhance my experience to cover multiple discipline organisation and time management. In an average week I would look after the planning and execution of around 90+ properties.Whilst working with Keepmoat my main responsibility was to plan forthcoming property inspection and installation works; gas and electrical inspections prior to and after cavity and external wall installations to private and council properties throughout Scotland. My other duties whilst in this position were to control planning for all construction activities which had to integrate with other trades for timely execution and completion. I was involved with generating schedule trackers for multiple and concurrent installation works throughout Scotland for circa 50 personnel amongst different disciplines. This plan was approved by senior management before engaging with the clients.I was also tasked with controlling various progress trackers which contained key information and planned completion dates to trigger subsequent disciplines activities; this varied from initial inspections, arranging scaffolding works, mobilising construction personnel for installation of thermal insulation, final inspections and approval. I also held a record of all photographic progress evidence to ensure that our work was carried out to ISO 14001 standards. The job held many challenges from week to week which gave me some good experience at dealing with situations under pressure and having to solve problems quickly, efficiently and in most cases under my own initiative and informed decision making in order to obtain the desired end results.
Technical Clerk
Whilst working for Dusctacco Engineering I was able to broaden my level of experience into piping and mechanical aspects of documentation and procedures. My daily duties included; generating pipework test packs and reviewing them for an EPCC project for ‘Glasgow Recycling and Renewable Energy Centre’, carrying out document reviews to ascertain correctness and identify anomalies. This has given me an insight into how to read and fully interpret high level isometrics along with various P&ID drawings from detailed design through to final revision.Other duties included being responsible for ensuring that all information input to the test packs are concise with accurate and approved revisions of documents, stored within the correct locations of the project document portal including all associated procedures, reports, specifications, weld records, material, traceability records including NDT records and certification of trade persons carrying out the work.
Technical Clerk
During this period I was involved with a tidal turbine project. The turbine package being built was the power converters that would generate 1500Mw of electricity to main grid utilities in Canada. During my time on site I held the position of Technical Clerk. In addition to this I was also working on construction and commissioning covering all aspects of the installation's construction, inspection and pre-commissioning activities throughout the build phase into commissioning. I was personally involved with the daily organisation of the following clerical duties; certification completions data base input, uploading as files such as test pack information, as built drawings and new revisions of drawings to Sharepoint. In addition to this was responsible for procurement and logistics where I catered for up to 20 project personnel.
