Gm Pontiac Powertrain Headquarters

Accountable for resource and data management of critical indirect material for General Motors Pontiac Powertrain Headquarters. Responsible for all fuel inventory and fuel data used in the GM powertrain and engine development and validation programs. Performed financial modeling focused on the impact of fuel costs, trends and budgeting. Further developing the inventory tracking spreadsheet, budgetary and cost components were added to analyze projected budgetary variances using year-over-year comparisons and cost trends and forecasts. Ultimately, I developed a sophisticated, single point, data management tool that automatically updated analytical projections and evaluations as new inventory data was entered. Using historical data, simulations could accurately project the remaining months and year-end with a +/-4% margin of error.I then added regular and ad-hoc reporting, which included informal and formal internal and client ready documents, reports, graphs, charts and presentations, which were created by means of developing efficient reporting strategies, including automation and simplification of reporting processes while preserving data integrity. These reports were key to supporting cost savings and process improvement initiatives.By communicating with key client and supplier contacts, Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement requirements were met and exceeded. This high level of customer service provided the opportunity to grow our partnership with our customer to further deliver additional cost savings and implement projects to improve our customer’s cost competitiveness within the automotive industry.

Accountable for all fuel inventory and fuel data used in the GM powertrain and engine development and validation programs. Responsible for ensuring the fuel storage facility is properly maintained and meets all safety, regulatory and environmental compliance standards. Provide variable support on facility projects and maintenance service initiatives.In order to store and analyze a greater volume of usage and fuel related data, I created and continued to develop an inventory tracking spreadsheet. This new tool revealed usage trends and influencing factors that had not been previously identified. With an increased understanding of these factors, these trends were used to provide a more accurately forecast resource demands and future order points. This information allowed us to address potential future supply-chain risk areas thereby reducing our customer’s future operational risk. This collaborative effort resulted in reduced lead-times and reduced costs to both the customer and their supplier.Our team met and exceeded Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement requirements which was heavily influenced by the team’s ability to increase process efficiencies, reduce potential and actual facility downtime, and provide significant all around cost savings.
