Working within the Short Term Planning team, I was responsible for delivering short-term revised train plans taking in to consideration alterations to the scheduled train service either due to engineering works, events, or other external factors. I was responsible for rolling stock allocations; ensuring that services are of the correct length taking in to consideration passenger flow, operational, commercial, and engineering requirements. I also produced Traincrew diagrams for all grades, diagramming in the most effective way possible. Consideration is given for train crew diagrams to ensure they can be accommodated within the rolling stock plan for the best utilisation within the agreed terms and conditions of service, and train path requirements.Within this role I have been involved with multiple projects and experiences including being part of the Employee Survey Action Group to improve satisfaction and morale amongst the team, whilst also voice recording for the new Southeastern values video. I provided assistance at the World and Para Athletics championships, London Bridge blockades (August and December 2017), dealing with assisted travel and supporting frontline colleagues with general station running. In addition, I have shadowed a Conductor to gain front-line and customer service exposure, and have been involved with the Class 395 evacuation and Police exercise at Ebbsfleet.

Recognised as one of the company 'experts' in this area, I was tasked with creating and subsequently delivering a training programme 'An Introduction to Rolling Stock' to members of the team which was highly commended by Senior Management.I was involved with site survey activities for many railway projects across the UK, as a holder of Network Rail PTS. In addition, I was appointed as site supervisor on a large railway project responsible for organising and overseeing works completed by contractors, reporting progress to management and resolving queries in an effective manner. Progressively involved with company and Institution activities to promote emerging professionals, and developed training courses to share knowledge with colleagues including the production of a report on Rolling Stock, which was highly commended by senior management. I also completed a BEng (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering on a day release basis.
