SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCEElo established Y-MatTec in April 2021 as CEO, partner, and board member. Y-MatTec is a company with focus on development, production, and sales of UHPC materials. The company is situated in Holstebro, Denmark and has a production capacity of more than 30.000 tons of UHPC materials on annual basis. The products are designed primarily for on- and offshore renewable wind and for the Oil & Gas market and has amongst others offshore certification.Earlier Elo joined Nautic group, Singapore in January 2014 as General Manager of Nautic Materials and was overseeing all aspects of the materials division including the establishment and certification of NAUTICs factory and laboratory set in Johor, Malaysia. He was responsible for the continuous research, development, and production of NAUTICs Ultra High Performing Cementitious (UHPC) materials namely NaX Premix series, the development of new products, as well as sales and establishment of the distribution network for the product line.Elo has many years of experience in the Danish and Nordic cement and concrete industry. During his time as Manager at Aalborg Portland, Elo was responsible for the development and establishment of accredited laboratory within the “Cement & Concrete Laboratory”. Since then, Elo has mastered many aspects of the business including budgeting, sales, and technical marketing, powder production, consulting and responsibility for testing of concrete and related building materials, quality management, growth of several laboratories, managing equipment, logistics and market development. Recently Elo completed the Danish Industry Board Education.Before joining NAUTIC Elo was the Director, Head of Construction System at Nordic BASF A/S and was responsible for production and sales of BASF construction materials for three companies in the Nordic region. He was the initiator of new market development, DNV offshore certification of UHPC materials and project leader for the development of ultra-high performing materials for the offshore market.Throughout his career Elo has authored and co-authored several technical articles and publications for the industry as well as acting editor of Danish “Concrete Book” and Danish Technical Journal “Concrete Technique”. Elo has been the appointed speaker at a number of international conferences and events within the concrete and cement industries and offshore and wind energy industry. Furthermore he holds two patents.
