My PhD is a mixed methods project focused on family meals in families with young children, within the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition, Deakin University. This role included qualitative analyses and manuscript development of data from the Australian Diabetes MILES-2 Survey, 2016. Specifically, this position required working closely with colleagues to create a coding framework, collaboratively code qualitative survey data, present and discuss findings, blog writing and assisting with referencing tasks. This role also provided me with the opportunity to present findings at the Australasian Diabetes Congress (ADC) 2019.

Throughout and following my undergraduate studies, I engaged in various Research Assistant roles at Deakin University as a casual employee. These roles and responsibilities have been diverse and include but are not limited to:• Data collection- anthropometric measurements, observations and intercept surveys, online survey administration and management• Developing survey content (quantitative and qualitative)• Experience using research software such as REDCap, STATA and NVivo• Conducting online and face-to-face recruitment• Conducting qualitative interviews and analyses• Literature searching• Collaborating on peer reviewed journal articles and conference presentations
