About Eloise-Kate Litterbach
I am an early career researcher working in the areas of early childhood health promotion and behavioral research in diabetes. I have a keen interest in qualitative research methods, promoting wellbeing through healthy family meals, exploring and reducing stigma and understanding how to reduce socioeconomic health disparities in families. Experience stemming from my mixed methods PhD project and a broad range of Research Assistant roles has provided opportunities to develop strong project management, interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills. Juggling a research career whilst raising three kind and thoughtful children is one of my proudest achievements. I am a passionate advocate for physical movement, environmental sustainability, promoting positive metal health and healthy body image. I wish to utilise my current skills and passions, and to further develop and build my research experience through securing an Early Career Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.

Research Assistant
Phd Candidate
My PhD is a mixed methods project focused on family meals in families with young children, within the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition, Deakin University. This role has offered extensive opportunities for me to build skills in various areas including but not limited to:• Quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis• Applying research methodologies and frameworks to enhance development and interpretation of research• Project management• Critical thinking• Collaboration• Scientific writing• Receiving and providing constructive feedback• Supervision and mentoring• Invaluable experience working under strict time constraints, communication, time management and problem solving
Research Assistant
This role included qualitative analyses and manuscript development of data from the Australian Diabetes MILES-2 Survey, 2016. Specifically, this position required working closely with colleagues to create a coding framework, collaboratively code qualitative survey data, present and discuss findings, blog writing and assisting with referencing tasks. This role also provided me with the opportunity to present findings at the Australasian Diabetes Congress (ADC) 2019.
Research Assistant
Throughout and following my undergraduate studies, I engaged in various Research Assistant roles at Deakin University as a casual employee.
