Community Addiction Coordinator
• Collaborated and identify the Crisis Intervention Training Grant for the police department and was received.• Attend stakeholder Coalition Meetings, District Attorney Opiate Task Force meeting, Moapc/Sapc meetings and district social work meetings.• Work with the Coalition Coordinator and Youth Coordinator with the Drug Free Communities Grant on teen activities within the Town of Stoneham.• Consistently hold community events in relation to substance use- Drop in Nights, Reiki for Recovery, Recovery Yoga, Narcan Training, Teen Dance, Teen Microsoft Video Game Event, Improbable Players Play, and Cory’s Cause.• Go out on home visits and post overdose calls with the Stoneham Police Department and maintain a case load over 200 individuals/ families. • Is a key referral resource for the Town of Stoneham for those who have a Substance Use Disorder. • Consistently write grants and sponsors for the Town of Stoneham in relation to community events as well as hepatitis c, substance use prevention, mindfulness and meditation, and proper aftercare services.• Collaborate with Stoneham Public Schools, Stoneham Police Department and Fire Department on grants for mental health and substance use training such as the Department of Meatal Health Crisis Intervention Training and Botivin Life Skills Training. • Grants written and awarded are: Eastern Bank Foundation, I am Strong Foundation, Stoneham’s Cultural Education and Community Foundation, New England Grassroots Environmental Fund, Fallon Health Foundation.• COVID19 Command Center Team: deliver food, grocery shop for at risk clients, distribute mask, achieved Fallon Health Grant and New England Grassroots Fund, fund elder and teen entertainment such as puzzles, crafts, adult coloring books to promote social distancing.
