As the FH Europe Ambassador Program Manager, I am responsible for developing and implementing educational projects for the FH Europe Foundation Patient Network. This non-profit organisation advocates for people with familial hyperlipidemia, including FH, HoFH genetic conditions that cause high cholesterol and increased risk of heart disease, as well as Lp(a) and FCS. I am also an Assistant Headteacher at Maple Ridge Primary School, a special education school that caters to students with diverse learning needs and abilities. I have over 20 years of experience as a qualified special education teacher, with in-depth knowledge of adapted curriculum and teaching strategies. I lead the assessment and staff development programs, including the mentoring and training of new and early-career teachers. I am also the co-lead for literacy and computing lead, overseeing integration of technology and digital skills across the curriculum. I am passionate about empowering students and teachers to achieve their full potential and to embrace learning as a lifelong journey.
