In this position, I supported a wide number of software applications as well as the platforms that they are hosted on, in order to ensure smooth day to day operations. Duties include: monitoring the performance, stability, and availability of both applications and infrastructure systems, ensuring that system settings meet SOX and PCI compliance, troubleshooting and support for hotel management, retail, food and beverage, and accounting software, creation and management of vSphere and Hyper-V servers, automation of systems via group policy, Powershell, and scheduled tasks, as well as Tier 3 support for company wide systems.

Worked as a part of a team to support guest and staff at many different hotel locations, each containing unique configurations. Some of the systems supported included various reservation management software like SMS and Maestro, retail inventory and point of sale systems such as Retail Pro, and food and beverage systems such as aloha, infogenesis, and micros. In addition to applications, I assisted in support of the various networks at each location including working on guest and staff wifi, cat6 and fiber infrastructure and various point to point links. While in this position i assisted in many projects including a site-wide wifi installation, re-organization of various MDFs and IDFs, and took part in a company wide domain migration.

In this position, I filled multiple different roles for the company, including project managing the installation of CCTV and RFID network devices, lead technical support for all installations preformed by the company, and R&D for testing out potential new products for the company to install.My technical experience from this position includes deploying and administering various Windows and linux based server systems, providing high availability help desk support to clients, product repair to supported devices, alarm system repair, and device configuration for all network based devices used by the company including CCTV, RFID, PCs, and network switches.My project managing duties included meeting with clients to plan out and walk sites, managing over a small team of installers, heavy documentation of each install, inspections and signing off for work done by technicians, and daily operations of technical operations for the company.
