My time in the riding school was more than riding instruction and included managing children who ranged from 5 - 17 years old and running theory classes after their practical lessons. I have received my working with children's certificate and also have basic first aid for both horses and people. The Academy also runs school holiday camps twice yearly and I was heavily involved with the running of these which included looking after children overnight, administering medication as directed by parents, ensuring that there were enough activities to keep the children occupied as well as having some education components regarding the equine industry.Our objective at the Academy is to not only instruct on the practical riding side but also to create well educated and above average future horse owners and equine industry employees.
