He was previously with Turnaround Partners; a business development and consultancy firm as Project Manager/Economic Analyst. He is also an Associate Consultant for Procurement Dynamics (PD Consulting) where he has been working since 2009 as a Project Manager (Economic Development and Research). His professional career started in 2001 when he was appointed as an economist in the Ministry of Finance (Zimbabwe). Eddie holds an MCom in Economics from the University of South Africa (Unisa), a BCom Honours in Econometrics from the University of Pretoria (UP), BSc Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), and a Certificate in Banking. Eddie has excellent knowledge of the following statistical and econometric packages: CSPro, SPSS, SAS, Eviews, Stata and Input-Output & SAM modelling. He is currently studying for a Doctorate Degree in Development Economics. The main focus areas for his masters and doctorate studies are economic growth, poverty reduction, inequality, foreign direct investment, development assistance (foreign aid), education and skills development. The scope of his study is developing countries in general, with a special focus on SADC countries.
