•Managing and monitoring programme financial resources and providing support to programme financial management to ensure delivery of quality services to internal and external clients mastering all relevant rules, guidelines, processes and procedures;•Supporting programme management through providing monthly updates on implementation of resources;•Conducting operational review of all work plans to ensure detailed WP budgets and WP documents are carefully reviewed with costing of detailed inputs prior to submission for endorsement;•Working closely with programme and project staff providing financial analysis of projects and advising on expenditure trends and implementation rates;•Conducting and running yearly financial spot checks to ensure funds are used for the intended purposes and according to the approved WP.•Addressing all spot-checks and audit findings and propose the intervention plan of the organization to clear these findings to ensure full compliance to the Assurance Plan;•Providing ongoing support and training to all partners for future sustainability; •Monitoring and following up quarterly on operating Fund account (OFA) and collaborate with programme staff, IPs and HQ on challenges;•Preparing quarterly OFA/FACE and CDR/FACE Reconciliations to address variances where applicable;•Ensuring all Assurance Activities covering Micro Assessment, Spot checks, and audits are completed; and maintaining IPAS documentation accordingly; •Verifying the financial reports (FACE) and Itemized cost submitted by the implementing partners for their accuracy and compliance with the approved AWP and budgets; •Participating in inter-agency coordination groups to ensure UNFPA’s need in common systems and service issues are met. •Fostering a collaborative, client-oriented approach towards the CO’s programme team and UN community, and supporting effective communication and cooperation with Headquarters (HQs).
