The APM works collaboratively to coordinate training and organize various events to increase advocacy and civic engagement knowledge for youth and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families from culturally, linguistically, racially, and socio-economically diverse backgrounds. The APM promotes active engagement of impacted communities with policy and decision makers to reshape public policies and ensure positive outcomes for people with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families.The APM is responsible for:1. Pathwaves WA creates pathways for leaders of color to hold decision-making roles in early childhood systems so they can equitably drive and shape the design of policies that affect future generations of our kids and our communities.The Pathwaves Fellowship is a 20-month fellowship that brings BIPOC individuals into the field of early childhood policy.

The SC is a key player in helping students who are at risk of dropping out of school and who have identified vulnerabilities to stay in school and graduate. Connecting students to the resources and supports they need to improve academics and attendance, promote positive behavior and social-emotional well-being.Provide one-on-one case management to students who have been affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, youth, parents, community partners and others.Promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion for all students and families.
