I am a self-taught professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity, particularly having exposed to train with roles such as SIEM Engineer and SOC Manager at NADRA. My journey has been fuelled by a passion for continuous learning and in-depth research, leading to a robust understanding of various cybersecurity tools and frameworks. On a personal note, I enjoy reading philosophy and theology, which helps me to think about underlying and abstract aspects of a problem that are often left ignored, and hence enhanced problem-solving abilities.My expertise includes:- SIEM Tools: Proficient in Splunk and Elasticsearch, understanding the problems and health maintainence of security information and event management systems. - Network Frameworks: Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocols, OSI model and network security.- Threat Emulation: Skilled in using tools like Caldera and Atomic Red Team to simulate adversary tactics and test environment defences. familiar with purple team operations. - Detection Engineering: Experience with Sigma and Aurora for creating effective detection rules. Understand how threat Intel is crucial to integrate with detection engineering operations. - Malware Analysis: Competent in static analysis techniques using tools such as Ghidra for identifying and understanding malware, and its evasion techniques. Familiarity with assembly for effective reverse engineering so that incident is responded effectively and system rinsed off of malicious content. - Log Analysis: Adept at analyzing logs to uncover security incidents and potential threats in windows and linux systems.
