During my tenure as an Operations Supervisor, I have gained valuable expertise in managing a diverse range of cargoes, including Break Bulk, Bulk, Containers, RoRo, Project cargo, and Cruise Terminal operations. I have successfully supervised the discharge and load back of various vessels, ensuring efficient and timely operations. My responsibilities encompassed coordinating with Chief Officers, Captains, and Ship's crews, as well as agents and cargo surveyors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to regulations.In my role, I have effectively managed teams of up to 80 individuals, overseeing daily briefings, timekeeping, and performance reviews. I have worked closely with Team Managers to align objectives and achieve productivity targets while ensuring the safety and well-being of team members. My strong leadership skills have enabled me to foster a collaborative and motivated work environment, resulting in enhanced operational efficiency and team performance.Health and safety have been paramount in my role, and I have consistently prioritized the adherence to Risk Assessments and Method Statements. I have successfully enforced Health and Safety rules while meeting and exceeding productivity targets. Additionally, I have demonstrated my problem-solving abilities by efficiently planning container vessel discharge and load back in compliance with export ISPS and VGM requirements.My experience extends to supervising operations in control rooms, managing bulk cargo on conveyor systems, and overseeing the loading and unloading of trains, both for bulk cargoes and containers. I have also successfully handled Roll-on Roll-off cargo, including cars and high and heavy discharge and load back. Furthermore, I have supervised operations at an Animal Feed storage facility, ensuring compliance with TASCC requirements.
