I manage and support dozens of client networks. On the back end, I am responsible for the deployment and maintenance of Xen, VMWare, and Hyper-V virtual environments with a mixture of Windows and Linux Servers, Cisco and Sonicwall firewalls, and various Cloud Services (MS365, Azure, Egnyte). I am also responsible for deploying and maintaining desktop systems with Windows and OS X. Client Management utilizing ConnectWise, LabTech, N-Able, and Addigy. Backup Management using Backup Exec, Barracuda, Axcient, AWS, Cloudberry, and Veeam. Domain management utilizing Active Directory, Group Policies, scripting, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Exchange, and SQL. As an ITS User Services Site Lead, I oversee the IT needs of numerous departments on campus, including desktop and application support for Windows 7/Vista/XP, OSX, and VMware, as well as extensive use of WDS, SCCM, ARD, SharePoint, Saint Security Scans, Remedy, Group Policies, and Active Directory. I am also responsible for managing hardware inventory and lifecycle, maintaining all site process and troubleshooting documentation, and tracking progress on all ongoing projects. Accomplishments include: • Supervised and conducted annual site risk assessments, where I identified any potential security threats and executed appropriate remediation.• Worked with Department Administrative Officers to develop new lifecycle, and inventory distribution policies to maximize hardware and greatly reduce the annual IT budget.• Completed GIAC Security Essentials Certification.

As a Level 3 Network Administrator, my duties include daily administration of the company’s servers running MS 2000/2003 Server and RedHat Enterprise Server with support for Active Directory, Exchange 2000, SQL 2000, IIS, DNS, VMWare and Citrix. I also provide desktop support for Windows XP, OSX, and RedHat Enterprise Linux Workstation, and manage ongoing IT projects. Accomplishments include:• Creation and execution of a RedHat Kickstart deployment, upgrading and configuring 800 Engineering Linux workstations.• Designing and implementing a virtualization strategy that reduced the number of systems in the software development environment by one third.• Maintaining hardware inventories for more than 1,000 workstations and 200 servers.• Creating Twiki documentation for customers related to common tasks and technical issues.• Worldwide support for server and desktop issues, with consistently excellent customer satisfaction metrics.

The only Network Administrator, responsible for the installation, configuration, and daily support of all company Servers (NT 4, Windows 2000, and Linux), 50+ Workstations (NT, 2000, XP, OSX and Linux), and networking equipment including Watchguard Firewalls, Cisco Routers, Cisco Wireless Bridges, and 3Com Switches. Accomplishments included:• Creating and managing a secure VPN along with Windows 2000 Terminal Servers and Citrix Metaframe XP for access to network resources by clients, developers, and support staff working remotely. • Configuration and administration of Microsoft Exchange Server (5.5 and 2000). • Responsible for installing and maintaining developer resources including TestTrack databases for bug tracking and multiple Visual SourceSafe datastores for source code storage. • Developed extensive technical documentation on procedures, and troubleshooting dealing with all facets of the company's infrastructure.
