Emeka is an Engineer, by profession. A self-taught artist, designer, animator and multimedia developer, by occupation, and currently oversees a small team of 11 designers, content developers, web marketing specialists and developers at an up-coming creative agency in Lagos, Nigeria known as dRaX ARTS Limited.In 1996, Emeka helped found a small design firm called Yakamichi. He and his partners began introducing, to the Nigerian Movie Market, the usefulness of using computer technology to create movie posters, digitally, as against the old method of manually cutting out photos and snapping them, etc. The industry quickly embraced it and a number of movie producers clamored to have their movie posters and jackets created by Yakamichi. Emeka also brought Yakamichi to the limelight, then, as the first true multimedia authoring company and, in a short while, began winning over companies such as Shell, NAOC, CPDD, SecTrust, IBM, Xerox, Allstates and Hyperia.Late 2000, he founded WOO Interactive Limited, a full-blown interactive multimedia development and digital design studio. WOO quickly became a leading design studio, employing some of the brightest designers and animators from the region offering services to quite a number of blue-chip companies; Globacom, Coca-Cola, Oando, Conoil, Assurance Bank, Interswitch, Resourcery Limited, Diamond Bank, Econet Nigeria, Vodacom Nigeria, Vmobile, Compaq West Africa, HP Nigeria, Futureview and a host of others.Today, dRaX ARTS (www.draxarts.com) has established itself as a reliable and sturdy creative agency and has delivered over 20 projects for companies such as Etisalat, Globacom, Bang & Olufsen Nigeria, Dangote Noodles, Pasta & Flour, University of Nigeria, Greenwich Trust, Afrinvest West Africa, Meristem Securities, Huawei Nigeria, Nexus Alliance, Brass Energy (USA), etc.Emeka simply believes in one undeniable truth: Design is the only differential that matters.
