I always loved math starting at an early age; the challenge of learning patterns combined with the satisfaction of solving problems was the perfect storm in my education. That being said I never found a lesson that really stood out or piqued my interest. I tackled complex classes and concepts in a search for that perfect formula and eventually found Pure Mathematics. This solution gave me complex concepts and a thorough understanding and baseline for any branch of mathematics. It was here that I learned to love the learning process and furthering my understanding of concepts. When I transferred to Sonoma State University, my first class was Proofs and Reasoning. This singular math class would propel me into a world of complex problem solving and advanced math techniques. I quickly learned skills in Mathematica, a math coding program, as well as in proof writing technique. During my primary and secondary education, I had always been told that proofs would be difficult, and I embraced the opportunity to learn the structure of general proofs and ask a plethora of questions to gain a deep understanding of each concept. I instantly fell in love with Number Theory, Cryptography, Modern Algebra, Geometry and many more subjects. As I kept excelling in all my classes I was driven to seek new and more difficult concepts until I graduated.
