I am currently a photojournalist at Local 3 News in Chattanooga Tennessee! My day consists of setting up live shots in the morning focusing heavily on correct lighting while the sun is still down. After that my day goes one of two directions and sometimes both! Either I get sent out to a shoot, hold an interview, shoot b-roll, and bring back and edit a VOSOT, or I go out with a reporter film their interview, shoot b-roll, then go back to the station and edit the reporters story once they get there audio tracks set up. I am graduated as video editor with experience in news and script writing. My professional experience is an internship in which I set up shooting locations, filmed, and edited short biopics for aspiring PhD students. I would also edit their scripts in order to make them understandable to a general audience. After my internship I went on to a freelancing position at PopFizz Productions. At PopFizz I went through raw footage in order to cut it into usable footage for the Tennessee Department of Tourism. During that time I also worked on a short advertisement for an event happening at the Knoxville Convention Center.In my time at the University of Tennessee I also had a period of time where I worked on a few episodes of "Up Close" for PBS. During that time I worked on set doing a variety of things from directing an episode, operating the switching board, and being a sound technician.
