A highly professional, motivated and forward thinking individual who never compromises on quality. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Nutrition and Technology from University of Eswatini, which I owe my qualification and knowledge to. I have over 2 years volunteering experience as a laboratory technologist at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Hygiene Laboratory where I have been able to put my knowledge to practice. The laboratory is working towards its accreditation, with that, I have been trained on laboratory quality management systems based on ISO 17025. I am actively involved in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as per the ISO 17025 guidelines and develops benchmarking standards. I performs routine analysis of samples brought to the laboratory from different industries and private entities to ensure that they are up to standard and safe for human consumption hence averting foodborne illnesses. I have extensive knowledge on HACCP and ISO 22000/FSSC 22000.9001. I conduct test analysis ensuring that all results produced meet the international laboratory standards (ISO 17025). A surveillance (Antimicrobial Susceptibility, AMR) run by ICAP and Flaming Fund is currently ongoing where I have been exposed to new microbiology technologies. I am cognizant in the scientific collection, testing, analysis and quality control of samples. I consistently adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and safety protocols, producing results that are accurate, safe and compliant with regulatory standards. I have a proven success in producing results in laboratory experiments with an excellent ability to take direction from supervisors and work independently with minimal oversight and highly adaptive to challenging environment. I am experienced in performing bacteriological, identification of organisms, performing antimicrobial susceptibility testing, sub-culturing and maintaining controls.
