I work on fundraising initiatives for BUILD by delivering presentations to potential donors, aiming to secure financial support for our clinics. Additionally, serving as the primary liaison and resource for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and BUILD alumni, fostering strong relationships to enhance our fundraising efforts.

Participated in and oversaw the construction of five mobile Texas Aggie Medical Clinics (TAMCs) in underdeveloped countries. Simultaneously, I managed a team of volunteers, ensuring on-site safety, proper tool use, and project completion within tight deadlines. This experience enhanced my leadership and project management skills, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of vital healthcare infrastructure in resource-limited areas.

I'm currently engaged in a research collaboration, exploring the early stages of cognitive impairment through optogenetic mouse models. Together with the researchers, David J Earnest and Karienn A Souza, we investigate presynaptic mechanisms and gender-specific differences in synaptic decline during aging. Utilizing two-channel rhodopsin mouse models and techniques like fluorescent microscopy and electrophysiology, our work aims to shed light on crucial aspects of Alzheimer's disease pathology and synaptic interactions in aging neural circuits.

In my role as a mentor, I actively collaborated with the instructor and a cohort of 22 mentees to facilitate a smooth transition to campus life. This involved planning and coordination of monthly social events, fostering a sense of community. To enhance classroom engagement and learning, I partnered with the professor to implement 2-3 weekly in-class activities, promoting an interactive academic environment. I also dedicated time to conducting weekly one-on-one meetings with each student, addressing their unique academic needs and supporting their personal growth journey.

I contribute to the research and development of oncologic therapeutics by executing clinical strategies and implementing complex compound programs for Phase III oncology studies. Through this role, I will gain a deep understanding of the drug development process, the critical need for diversity in clinical trial participants, and will have the opportunity to network with a diverse group of scientists.

In this role, I manage a spectrum of administrative duties, from patient scheduling to overseeing billing processes, ensuring the accuracy of CPT and ICD-10 codes. On the clinical front, I play a key role in preparing examination rooms, recording vital signs, and contributing to the preparation of allergy serums. A notable achievement is my coordination with 15 health insurance providers, resulting in an impressive 90% reduction in claim denials. Additionally, I facilitate effective communication between the doctor and Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring clarity in medical information for approximately 20+ individuals daily.

In this role, I organized restaurant seating and staff, ensuring efficient operations and accommodating 50-300 customers daily. Notably, I improved To-Go order precision and accuracy scores from 86% to 98%, leading to an increase in positive reviews. Handling a daily influx of 75+ to-go orders, I successfully reduced customer complaints related to order errors.
