In middle school, I spent part of a summer volunteering at the local children's hospital in the town I grew up in. What was thought to be simply an enriching program sparked an interest in a career path I never considered before. Fast forward 10 years, and I am at this same hospital I was once a volunteer at, now I am caring for the area's most critical, medically complex, and fragile children.That is not the only thing I have accomplished in my career thus far. I am a substitute school RN for the largest school district in the state of Kentucky. I ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of children who have a variety and medical needs.I am a dedicated, industrious, and compassionate registered nurse bringing one year of experience in both ICU, school, and pediatric nursing. My specialties include maintaining a positive and professional attitude while providing quality and timely care under stressful dynamics and situations. Starting and finishing school during the COVID-19 pandemic and beginning my nursing career in a record-breaking RSV and Flu season within the pediatric population, this quality of mine is one I consider a strength. I have learned how to effectively communicate and collaborate among the interdisciplinary team and advocate for my patients and their families.
