YMCA Camp ThunderbirdBelay Instructor: Direct responsibilities include providing adventure programs that teach technical rock climbing skills and safety, lead participants through adventure games, and various other activities. The Instructor also manages and maintains cleanliness of equipment, builds relationships with all staff and program participants, and participates in program activities and meetings; while also focusing on the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Program Assistant & Counselor: Responsible for planning, leading, and implementing core and non-core programs and experiences for children in a group setting. Also, responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of the group participants. In charge of providing high quality outdoor educational and recreational experiences for participants that focus on the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Groups ranged in ages from 6 to 12 and in size from 18 to 38 students.

Provide care for dogs, cats, & various animals in kennel daily and independently on weekends, including administering daily insulin, supplement, and special dietary needs. Provide primary post-op care for special needs pets as patients in clinic/recovery during weekdays and independently over weekends, including administering medicine, logging treatments & behavior on daily reports. Exercise dogs on schedule; clean, organize, maintain, and disinfect animal kennels, equipment, and facilities, including laundry, ground maintenance, and stocking supplies as needed / on schedule. Also, training new kennel staff as required.
