I have been working as a freelance director, producer and project manager within creative industries for over 15 years. I have worked on an extremely broad spectrum of projects including commissioning and managing new work from artists, producing multi art form festivals and events, touring theatre, outdoor events, exhibitions, film and participatory workshops, for a range of audiences. I have worked with Blueprint Film, Shooting Fish Theatre Company, Local Authorities and have guest lectured at Bishop Grosseteste, Birmingham, the Northern Film School and the Guildhall School of Drama. I have also been very successful in working with organisations to raise finance for artistic projects from a range of funders including Arts Council England, The Welcome Trust, Children in Need, Big Lottery, Heritage Lottery, several smaller Trusts and Foundations and from individual donors. The work I have been involved with has been of high artistic quality, having produced several award winning films with Blueprint Film including winning best film at Calgary and San Francisco Film Festivals and an Accolade award of excellence. My project Lincoln War Stories was selected by Heritage Lottery to present as an example of best practice at the House of Commons and I was invited to present a summary of my Creative Partnerships project in Hull to Paul Collard the director of CCE (International Foundation for Creative Learning). Other notable projects include two national touring productions of Darren Bolton’s play Laminated for Shooting Fish Theatre Company, funded by Arts Council England, including performances at Riverside Studios, Lincoln Drill Hall, Square Chapel and Manchester Capitol theatre and most recently producing my first feature length film Small Town Hero for which I contracted and managed over 200 cast and crew members, co-ordinating principal photography in 37 different locations over 6 weeks.
