Having started my career as a laboratory assistant in Haematology and Transfusion, I am very proud to have become a specialist Biomedical Scientist, experienced clinical life as a Transfusion Practitioner and advanced to a Network Haematology Performance Manager. I am very passionate about the laboratories, especially blood sciences, and the role they play in patient care. I have been part of a large team for many years in major trauma with a personal key focus in communication across the hospital, bringing the laboratories to the forefront rather than hiding in the basements. Highlighting the excellence they provide and can achieve.I have also been part of the team to bring Harvey's Gang to Coventry and continue to be inspired by the work they do 🧡Working now as part of an ever growing network is a great platform to elevate this passion. My knowledge skills are predominantly transfusion sciences, haematology and morphology, with interest in coagulation too.Work is not my only passion in life. Im an advocate for mental health and wellbeing through the work of Coventry and Warwickshire Mind. I have been an ambassador with them since 2018 and continue to be 💙
