Highlights of my time at Winnetka-Northfield:-Served as Interim Library Director from January to July, 2020.-Created a centralized District scheduling system, accounting for programs, desk coverage and off desk project time.-Successfully assessed the needs of the staff and community to improve programs and services in Adult Services, which includes the district makerspace, The Studio.- Managed the combination of the reference and circulation desks to one service point during the 2018 library renovation, including staff cross-training and an initiative to promote all Circulation Clerks to Circulation Associates.- Increased District circulation and patron satisfaction, with overall circulation trending upwards for the past 3 years. Patron satisfaction in library service is over 96% according to our most recent patron survey conducted in May of 2019. -
Interim Library DirectorWinnetka-Northfield Public Library District Jan 2020 - Jul 2020Led the District response to the COVID pandemic crisis, including writing a pandemic response plan managing the District closure and shifting to virtual services. Collaborated with the leadership team to manage staff and community communication, human resources, and other District projects and issues while in the interim between library directors. Managed regular director duties in the interim, including board meeting preparation, financials and annual budgeting, and facilities management.

Highlights of my time at Deerfield:- Hired, trained, coached, and encouraged staff.- Managed adult collection development, set and communicated high standards for reference and advisory service, and managed adult programming.- During renovation, planned the physical move of the Adult Services Department to a temporary location and merged reference and readers’ advisory services to one area with one desk.- Created initial remodel plans with the management team for a successful referendum.-Worked with the management team to migrate to a new ILS and train staff on the system.
