Developed and managed partnerships with second-year partner school administration and personnel to ensure the necessary conditions and resources are in place for AmeriCorps members to deliver attendance, behavior, and course performance interventions for students. Managed City Year’s program implementation while providing supervision to a team of 16 AmeriCorps members fulfilling over 1,700 hours of full-time service as mentors and tutors in a K-8 elementary school in North Philadelphia. Provided on-going feedback and support in cultivating leadership skills and professional development of AmeriCorps members. Observed and coached AmeriCorps members in small group and individualized math and literacy tutoring sessions to 4th-8th grade students identified as off track.Implemented a pilot program introducing the Leveled Literacy Intervention program in the school with small groups in grades 4 through 8. Collaborated in planning and facilitating a District Summit for principals and district officials involved in the LLI program at City Year partner schools. Evaluated and planned strategic actions based on team performance and data on a weekly basis to ensure student progress and overall positional goals are met. Planned and implemented site-wide initiatives and events for AmeriCorps members in order to enhance culture and climate throughout the service term.Collaborated on the planning and implementation of the site’s Math content training. Trained over 200 adult learners on research based practices and creating student growth plans to improve math proficiency.Member of the Site Instructional Leadership Team tasked with improving learning outcomes for students in our partner schools.

Taught 8th grade Algebra at East Central Junior High School, a Title I public school of 630 students. Planned and implemented rigorous curriculum for 130 students, 38% of whom scored at proficient or above on the Oklahoma state end of year assessment, representing a 58% increase in 8th grade math proficiency scores over the past three years.Developed long-term, unit, and daily lesson plans designed to serve students’ diverse needs, including English Language Learners and multiple learning disabilities. Championed a Standards Based Grading initiative as a member of the team charged with integrating the grading system school wide. Collaborate as a member of the Instructional Leadership Team to influence and implement school wide policies to better serve achievement goals and the diverse school community

Designed and facilitated high school math content training for 9 second year corps members as part of the alternative education certification process for TFA Greater Tulsa. Utilized the Sibme App to implement video-based feedback protocols as part of team level training.

Worked in partnership with the Juntos organization to support first-generation-to-college middle and high school students. Tutored students at the Juntos after school success program sponsored by Oklahoma State University’s Department of Human Development and Family Science.

Taught 130 eighth grade students each year as part of the national teacher corps teaching in under-resourced public schools. Was selected out of 45,000 applicants (12% acceptance rate) to teach in a low-income, urban schools. Continually developed in six core areas: Math Content, Instructional Excellence, Partnering with Families, Community Engagement, Leadership Identity, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness (DEI).

Assisted two certified Kindergarten teachers at the year-round preschool in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. Implemented age appropriate youth development methods in reading, writing, math, and extra-curricular activities.
